In 2026, my practice expands into an internationally focused year of research, production, and exchange, positioning me as a global creative working across place, process, and lived experience. The year will be shaped by sustained studio work and participation in three artist residencies across distinct cultural and geographic contexts.
Building on my current practice, an ongoing inquiry into belonging, daily ritual, and the interior landscape, these residencies support a concentrated focus on writing based methodologies and 2D mixed media work, alongside the continued development of small scale sculptures and assemblages. Writing functions as both a generative source and structural framework within the visual work, while textile processes subtly inform surface, material sensibility, and construction across media.
Teaching and guided workshops are embedded within each residency as integral components of the research process, operating as extensions of the studio and sites for dialogue, reflection, and the articulation of practice.
While working internationally, I will continue to split my time between New Orleans and Los Angeles, maintaining active studios and public engagement in both locations. I will also continue to share work directly with the public through regular outdoor gallery showings in Jackson Square. Residencies will take place in Canada, Morocco, and India, with additional research travel to South Africa later in the year.
I look forward to sharing the bodies of work that emerge from these experiences through future exhibitions and public programs.
